Hello everyone.Today I'm glad to be here to give a speech about my fresh experience in China Agriculture University.
First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school.For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class.And then even worse there would be nobody remind me
except my teacher!So the differences are everywhere and I could easily find them.The change of life is great and it's wonderful:I have more time of my own and the rights to decide how I live.
My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.
Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers,also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that I've got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!

I am majoring in English in my university. At first, I got very nervous whenever I have to give my opinion and make a presentation in class, because I had not had such experiences before. However, I think that it is the valuable experiences to get accustomed to express my own opinions and feelings.
A pleasant part of university life is long vacations. It is very good to consider a plan. I am considering about staying in Australia in next summer vacation. I think it will be an enjoyable vacation and an opportunity for me to get an incentive for the language study.

My First Day on Campus-
I still remember the day when I first came to the college. Being a boy of 17, I was longing for a new life as a college student:hut, at the same time I had no idea what college life would be like.
That morning when the bus carried me to the gate of the college, I was so excited that my heart was beating very fast as if it would leap out of my mouth. From now on,I would be a student of this college. After registration,we were led by an instructor to the dormitory,where,for the first time, we were going to live without our parents but with roommates. I was so clumsy that I did not know how to make the bed and fix the mosquito net.
In the afternoon, I took a walk around the campus together with my roommates. To think of studying in such a beautiful place made me feel quite proud of myself. As we were walking along, talking and laughing, a voice came into our ears, "Oh,look at these freshmen!" It was our middleschool-students' looks that gave us away. We continued our tour of the college,inspecting every building and every garden until the sun began to set.
In the evening,we sat together, talking about the past and the future. We were so excited that no one wanted to go to bed.

As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didn't have a good education environment. However, I set a goal and felt confident to be a college student. I was farewell warmly by them when I came to school. I was warmly welcome by school, too. It’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. Not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
Frankly speaking, i don't quite agree with them.Indeed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples).But why can't we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.
There are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. On the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don't have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father's day and april fool's day etc. On the other hand,the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. Overwhelmed by such a trend,chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
With the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. We are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth.The only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? The answer is definitely no. What we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. Only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. Only by educating can we play a really important role in the world.

As a student，you can get to the top through your hard work. As a businessman ， you can succeed through accurate calculation and with a complete certainty that you can make a profit.
In my opinion，opportunity favors only those who keep trying and who are ready for it. As the saying goes "God helps those who help themselves"， So no matter whether there's opportunity or not，what we should do is to study， to learn and become learned people，Only in this way can you seize your opportunity when it occurs. So never say there's no opportunity again.
My View On Opportunity
When it comes to opportunity, people’s opinions differ. Some people think that there are few opportunities in the world, while others argue that everybody will have some kind of opportunity along his life route
As far as I am concerned, I agree with the latter opinion. For one thing, I firmly believe opportunities are everywhere around us. No person will be unlucky enough to have no opportunities all the time, because“every dog has his day”. For another, since opportunities are transient, we have to make good preparations and improve ourselves. Just think of Newton, who discovered the Law of Gravitation when many people had watched an apple falling ahead of them.
From what has been discussed above, we may reasonably draw the conclusion that there are quite a few opportunities around us. Only through we get prepared can we seize the opportunities instead of letting them slip by. As an old saying goes,“opportunities are only for the prepared minds”.

For example, when I was studying in high school there was a national chemistry competition. Most of my classmates thought that we had virtually no chance of winning the competition since we were studying in high school. But I felt that it was a good chance and I must grasp it. So I prepared for it thoroughly and finally I won the first prize. In conclusion, I believe that opportunities are abundant (abandon) in our society and everyone is equal with them. We can acquire them only if we are prepared and qualified. Just as a proverb says “Opportunities are only for the prepared minds.”
